The Most Trusted Coverage Service

About

1998

Founded in 1998, the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition has become one of few most relevant screenwriting competitions in the industry. In the last 20 years the company has developed several departments to nurture talent and create career opportunities.

Storytellers come from all over the world and from all walks of life, because of the simple fact that everyone has a story.

Scriptapalooza has maintained its early days goal of helping as many writers as possible each year. This includes scripts being optioned and sold, writers acquiring literary representation and mentorship.

1999

The Scriptapalooza Television Writing Competition was founded in 1999. Here the partners continue their support of writers with the same zeal. They have helped procure meetings and phone calls from production companies for the winning writers of their four categories (pilots, sitcoms, reality shows and 1 hour dramas).

2002

The Scriptapalooza Coverage Service was founded in 2002. This division helps writers discover where their script stands against industry standards. This vital information can then be used by the writer to strengthen an existing script thus creating a solid calling card.

Unlike other coverage service companies, Scriptapalooza Coverage Service does not represent the scripts once the coverage is completed, nor is a percentage taken once a script is sold. The service is used by the savvy writer who wants to use it as a gage prior to submitting his script to the industry and/or prior to doing a rewrite.

2016

The Scriptapalooza Fellowship was developed in 2016 to honor dedicated writers and to help further their creative process and skills. Writing in itself is a journey and we would like to facilitate the process by giving the fellows the opportunity to be surrounded by like-minded professionals and individuals. In association with Robert McKee, the Fellowship recipient will be flown to a Robert McKee Seminar and be mentored for 6 months by one of our producers.
