For clients with government agreement types, there is no change. The start date of a new Azure prepayment is defined by the date the regional operations center processed it. Because Azure down payment orders are processed through the Azure EA portal in UTC time zone, there may be delays when your Azure prepayment order has been processed in another region. The coverage start date in the command indicates the start of the Azure down payment. The coverage start date is when the Azure prepayment is displayed in the Azure EA portal. We recommend that your first EA subscription be created via the “+ Add Subscription” link in the “Subscription” tab on the EA Portal. However, once your account is authorized, it may be easier to create subscriptions portal.azure.com in the Subscription tab in the upper-left corner of the page, where you can create and rename your subscription in a single step.
